Σύνδεση με τη MySQL (από τερματικό)

Αφού έχουμε συνδεθεί στον server από το τερματικό (με SSH π.χ.) ή terminal πληκτρολογούμε τα εξής:

#mysql -h server –u login –p password
Αν τα παραπάνω είναι σωστά στην οθόνη του τερματικού θα εμφανιστεί το σύμβολο:
mysql>

που σημαίνει ότι έχουμε συνδεθεί στη MySQL.

Π.χ. Για να συνδεθούμε στον υπολογιστή πρέπει να γράψουμε:

mysql –h teikav.edu.gr –u login_name –p password

Σημείωση 1. Στον κάθε χρήστη-φοιτητή υπάρχει ήδη έτοιμη μια βάση που έχει όνομα το login_name.

Σημείωση2. Δεν χρειάζεται να γραφτεί και το password στην πρώτη γραμμή επειδή αμέσως μετά το ζητά, οπότε και δεν εμφανίζονται οι χαρακτήρες.
